Across our project study programs, students tackle real-world challenges in a systematic and academically grounded way. They define problems, choose suitable methods, and develop well‑reasoned solutions while working effectively in teams and managing tight timelines.
Throughout the process, they gain experience in structuring project phases—from initial analysis to final presentation—and strengthen their analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Project studies can be carried out at a university chair, within a company, or at a research institute, offering flexibility to match individual interests. By the end, students can clearly and professionally present their results to both academic and industry audiences.

A project study is a for-credit module in which a team of two to five students works on a practical or research project related to their study program. It is supervised by a TUM School of Management chair and usually concludes with:
