Romano Prodi was a measured and convincing leader during his time as Italian Prime Minister. As President of the European Commission, he contributed significantly to the unity and success of the European Union. The TUM School of Management at the Technical University of Munich would therefore like to award Romano Prodi an honorary doctorate for his great achievements to Europe.

The award ceremony is planned on October 25, 2021 at the Technical University of Munich (time and location tba).

We additionally will broadcast the ceremony live to our partner universities in Europe. The honoring ceremony will probably take place in hybrid form, depending on the hygiene and distance restrictions at that time. However participation via video conference will be possible at any time.

In addition to numerous guests of honor, we feel it is very important to have students, in particular, actively involved in the ceremony. Therefore, after the speakers and the award ceremony, there will be a panel discussion with students.
