On 19 June 2026, the Technical University of Munich had the honor of welcoming Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, to a packed Audimax for the event “Meet the President: Democracy at Work in the European Parliament.”
Bringing together a diverse audience, the event evolved into a vibrant exchange of ideas. Moderated by the TUM Speaker Series, it sparked thoughtful questions and a broad range of perspectives.
A particular highlight was the dynamic interaction with students: critical, forward-looking, and deeply engaged. From democratic resilience to European cooperation, the discussion demonstrated the next generation’s strong commitment to actively shaping Europe’s future.
