COO | TU eMpower Africa e.V.
Svenja Herbst (née Zösmair) is the COO of TU eMpower Africa e.V., an NGO that works to empower African communities by implementing solutions at the energy–water–food nexus. She is also a doctoral candidate at the Chair of Family Business Culture at the Technical University of Munich.
Her research focuses on the next generation of entrepreneurs in family businesses and new ventures in the context of social responsibility and sustainability, as well as female entrepreneurship in different contexts, including Africa. Svenja Herbst holds a Master of Engineering from Munich University of Applied Sciences.
