Hanna Hottenrott is Professor of Economics of Innovation at the School of Management of the Technical University of Munich. She also heads the Department of Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics at the Leibniz-Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW). Her research focuses on innovation policy and the dynamics of technological change, with particular emphasis on innovation strategies, R&D financing, and policies that support innovation in the private sector.
Prior to joining TUM, she was an Assistant Professor at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE). She holds a PhD from KU Leuven and a degree in economics from the University of Heidelberg.
