Prof. Dr. Heyo Kroemer is CEO of Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of the world's best and most renowned hospitals, which has been regularly ranked among the top 10 hospitals in the world, and is one of the most important top managers in the global healthcare industry.
Previously, Prof. Kromer served as CEO and Dean of the University Medical Center Göttingen, after serving as Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Greifswald and Scientific Director of the University Medical Center Greifswald, where he held the Chair of General Pharmacology. After completing his doctorate, Mr. Kroemer conducted research at the University of Basel and Vanderbilt University, completed his habilitation at the University of Tübingen, and accepted a position as Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Bonn.
Prof. Kroemer is also Chairman of the University Council of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and is a member of the Leopoldina and the German Academy of Engineering Sciences, among many others.
Mr. Kroemer studied pharmacy at the TU Braunschweig and also received his doctoral degree at the university.
