Admission requirements

The minimum requirements for an application to the Master in Management are:

 

  • Bachelor‘s degree (requiring at least 6 semesters of study) or equivalent in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Architecture or a comparable program at a German or foreign university. A full list (in German language) can be found here.

    Please note that if you have a prior degree in Industrial Engineering, you are not eligible to apply for this program. However, you may be eligible to apply for the Master in Management & Digital Technology.
  • Applicants must also upload evidence of proficiency in English

Program structure

What to expect from your studies

Semester 1 - 2
The program usually takes four semesters to be completed. The first two semesters make up an introductory phase, containing compulsory basic courses in business, law, and economics and establish a strong foundation in international aspects of management.

 

Semester 3:
From the third semester onwards, you can follow your individual path by tailoring the study program to your interests. Elective modules cover a range of topics, including established courses in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Economics, as well as new and emerging subjects each academic year. You can also use the third semester to put your theoretical knowledge into practice by carrying out an advanced project study with your fellow students. The Master in Management at TUM Campus Heilbronn also offers exclusive electives in Digital Transformation and Family Businesses. Additionally, students who wish to study abroad will find the third semester an ideal opportunity to spend time at one of our partner institutions. Semester 4:
During the fourth and final semester, you will typically write your final master’s thesis
