The Sustainable Transitions Exchange Program (STEP) is offered jointly by the University of Texas at Austin (UT), Energy and Earth Resources Graduate Program (supporting studies in geosciences, engineering, management, finance, economics, and policy) and the TUM School of Management, Center for Energy Markets. Through this program students have the opportunity to spend a winter semester (mid-August – late December) in Austin, Texas. Exchange students may take courses on climatology, engineering, resources economics, and more, while working on their Master’s Thesis with UT researchers.
Who may apply: Students enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd semester of the Master’s program at TUM School of Management, who took at least 30 ECTS at TUM and whose thesis is focused on sustainability and decarbonization.
The UT is a prestigious U.S. university, which will help with research experience, job opportunities, and networking in sustainability and energy-related fields.
